Habitat in Nepal

The majestic Himalayan mountains draw us to this country
as we gather with other Habitat volunteers to build homes for the Nepali people.
Please return often to share the work with us.

Gone trekking

Saturday was a day for shopping and hanging out in the village. Our most important purchase was trekking poles for aid in up and down the mountains. In the U.S., cost for one collapsible pole ran over $100, but we found some in Pokhara for $9 each.

And then, what a relief from rice and curry.....we had pizza for lunch!

  1. Hi Nancy,

Congratulations on the wonderful house - love the "Habitat colors". I had a good laugh at the counting of steps up and down for lunch, buses and bathrooms...God bless you and the team.

I am in complete awe of the spectacular images of the Annapurna mountains. How beautiful - it takes your breath away in pictures - I can just imagine being there and thanking God for such a gift of beauty.

I look forward to reading more of your adventure.

    Be safe. God bless.

    Best...Gina

  2. Back now from treekking. What was indicated by Nepali guide as easy/moderate turned out to be difficult/hard. But still awesome. More later when we have recovered.
